A PD that unpacks the What, Why & How of building effective OT supports.
Finding it hard to understand how to work on a complex area like children's self-regulation?Are you considering all the components of self-regulation?Have you kept up with current evidence and can you articulate the evidence base?
This course provides the foundational frameworks for understanding self-regulation and a systematic way of unpacking and addressing self-regulation. The main focus of the course is on sensory modulation, and also provides an introduction in understanding the other components of self-regulation.The course aims: to provide you with the concepts and foundations to understand, analyse and address self-regulation in a systematic manner; to provide you with the language to articulate what self-regulation is, what components it exists of and articulate the unique OT role; to strengthen OTs' understanding and articulation of the supporting evidence-base; to provide an opportunity to reflect on and gain intervention ideas; to provide ready-to-use sources and resources.
